Ignition Coil Resistance

Disconnect electrical connector and ignition coil wire from ignition coil. Using a DVOM, measure primary and secondary resistance. Primary coil resistance should be 1.35-1.65 at 68°F (20°C). Secondary coil resistance should be 22,100-29,900 at 68°F (20°C). Replace ignition coil if readings are not within specification.
