Fuel Pump: Removal

  1. Fuel pump is located in fuel tank and is integral with fuel sending unit. Fuel pump and fuel sending unit is serviced as an assembly. Remove fuel tank from vehicle. Disconnect electrical connector from fuel sending unit assembly. Remove clamp and disconnect fuel vapor hose from fuel vapor pipe.
  2. Disconnect quick-connect fuel feed line and fuel feed line. Remove 6 fuel sending unit hold-down bolts and remove fuel sending unit assembly from fuel tank.
