Acceleration/Deceleration Sensor: Service and Repair



Yaw Rate Sensor/Lateral Accelerometer Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front floor console bracket assembly.




2. Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the yaw rate sensor.
3. Remove the nuts (2) retaining the yaw rate sensor.
4. Remove the yaw rate sensor (1) from the console bracket.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the yaw rate sensor (1) to the console bracket.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the nuts (2) retaining the yaw rate sensor.

Tighten the nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector (3) to the yaw rate sensor.
4. Install the front floor console bracket assembly.
