Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Support Fuel Tank

  1. Support the fuel tank with a suitable jack.
  2. Install Fuel Tank (1)

  3. Install Fuel Tank Strap (3) (Qty: 2)
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install Fuel Tank Strap Bolt (2) (Qty: 2) to 27 N.m (20 lb ft)
  5. Install Fuel Tank Strap Bolt (1) (Qty: 3) to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

  6. Connect Evaporative Emission Pipe (2) - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  7. Connect Fuel Feed Pipe (1) - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

  8. Connect Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Hose (4) - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  9. Connect Evaporative Emission Canister Hose (3) - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  10. Install Fuel Tank Filler Hose (2)
  11. Install Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp (1) to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in)

  12. Connect Electrical Connector (1)
  13.   14. Install the left front rear suspension bracket - Rear Suspension Bracket Replacement (Rear (Coupe))Rear Suspension Bracket Replacement (Front)
  15. Install Two-Piece Propeller Shaft - Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Coupe MM6, M13)Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Convertible MM6, M13)Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Coupe M5T, M5U)Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (Convertible M5T, M5U)
  16. Refill the fuel tank.
  17. Inspect for fuel leaks.
