Installation Procedure
- Install a NEW fuel feed intermediate pipe (4) to the fuel injection fuel rail (1) and to the fuel injection pump (6).
- Hand tighten the fuel feed intermediate pipe fitting (2) to the fuel injection rail (1).
- Hand tighten the fuel feed intermediate pipe fitting (5) to the fuel injection pump (6).
- Tighten the fuel feed intermediate pipe fittings (2, 5) to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
- Install the fuel feed intermediate pipe bracket bolt (3) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Install Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement
- Install Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
- Connect Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (with KL9)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (without KL9)
- Perform a fuel injection system leak test.
- Start the engine.
- Check the fuel system for leaks.
NOTE:
The high pressure fuel feed intermediate pipe must not be reused, otherwise leakage may occur.
