Removal Procedure
- Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe @ Vacuum Pump Assembly - Disconnect
- Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube @ Throttle Body » Disconnect Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement
- Remove the vacuum pump bolts (1).
- Remove the vacuum pump (1).
- Remove and DISCARD the vacuum pump gasket (2).
- Inspect the vacuum pump seal (3) and replace if necessary.
If replacing the vacuum pump, turn the NEW vacuum pump shaft (1) to match the position of the OLD vacuum pump shaft to allow proper alignment with the engine camshaft.
