Installation Procedure

Use the EN-47909 cleaning kit to clean the cylinder head bores.
If necessary, replace the fuel injection fuel rail insulators. Refer to Fuel Rail and Injectors Cleaning and Inspection .
Install the fuel injection fuel rail (1), making sure the fuel injectors seat into the cylinder head evenly.

Hand start the 2 outer fuel rail bolts (2) to seat the injectors into the injector bores.
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

1. First Pass: Start ALL bolts by hand, but do NOT tighten.
2. Second Pass: Tighten the outer two bolts by hand to seat the fuel injectors.
3. Third Pass: Tighten the remaining bolts by hand.
4. Final Pass: Tighten ALL bolts in sequence to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Connect the wiring harness to the fuel injection fuel rail harness.
