Installation Procedure

Install the following components if fuel tank replacement was necessary:
1. Fuel tank fuel pump module. Refer to Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module Replacement (NT7) and Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module Replacement (NE8) .
2. Evaporative emission carbon canister. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Replacement .
Use a suitable jack and install the fuel tank (1).

Reposition the fuel tank straps (1).

Install the fuel tank strap bolts (1) and tighten to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
Connect the fuel tank harness electrical connector (1).

Install the filler tube (2) and tighten the hose clamps (1) to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

Connect the evaporative emission line (3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
Connect the evaporative emission and fuel pipes (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

Connect the fuel pressure sensor electrical connector (2).
Install the left and right side rear air deflectors. Refer to Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement - Left Side and Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side .
Install the exhaust muffler. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Replacement (LCV) .
Refill the fuel tank.
Inspect for fuel leaks.
