Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair

The catalytic converters are not serviceable. Symptoms determining catalytic converter failure may include:
Restricted air flow out of exhaust.
Excessive exhaust rattle.
Converter material in muffler.
After determining that the catalyst has lost its effectiveness, the catalytic converter assembly must be replaced.
