Power Windows Operational With Door Open, Ignition Off
- Connect voltmeter to Data Link Connector (DLC) ETACS terminal and ground terminal. See Figure . Open and close driver's and passenger's door while monitoring voltmeter. If voltmeter deflects once each time a door is opened, go to next step. If voltmeter does not deflect, check for open or short in door switch circuits. See appropriate wiring diagram in REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS article.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position, then to OFF position while monitoring voltmeter. If voltmeter deflects once switch is operated, replace ETACS-ECU. ETACS-ECU is located behind lower left corner of instrument panel. If voltmeter does not deflect, inspect and repair ignition switch circuits.
