Output Speed Sensor: Removal
CAUTION:
When disconnecting speed sensor connector, be sure that the connector weather seal does not fall off or remain in old sensor.
- Disconnect battery cables.
- Remove air cleaner assembly. See Figure .
- Remove the battery hold down clamp and remove the battery. See Figure .
- Remove the battery tray. See Figure .
- Disconnect output speed sensor connector.
- Unscrew and remove output speed sensor. See Fig 1 .
- Inspect speed sensor O-ring and replace if necessary. See Fig 2 .
