Module, Occupant Restraint Controller: Installation: Module

  1. Connect the two ORC connectors (4 and 5) and ensure that the connectors are engaged.
  2. Position ORC (3) (arrow pointing forward) on the console floor bracket and mounting studs (1).
  3. Install the three ORC retaining nuts (2) and tighten to 9 N.m (79.5 in. lbs.).
  4. Install the center console. Refer to HOUSING, SHIFTER, INSTALLATION .
  5. Do not reconnect the negative cable to the battery at this time. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Verification Test procedure should be performed following service of any SRS component.

    Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
