Diagnostic Procedure: Introduction

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1993 Eagle Vision, 1993 Dodge Intrepid, and 1993 Chrysler Concorde. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Diagnostic test procedures are designed to detect system faults as quickly as possible. Body fault codes are accessed through CCD bus diagnostic connector. See Figure . Chrysler's Diagnostic Readout Box-II (DRB-II) is used to access information from CCD bus diagnostic connector.

A 1993 diagnostic program cartridge, DRB-II, body diagnostics cable, hand-held oil pressure gauge, jumper wires, and digital volt/ohmmeter will be needed for testing. Proceed to TEST 1A - IDENTIFYING VEHICLE EQUIPMENT & SYSTEM PROBLEMS  .

Ensure self-diagnostic tests apply to vehicle being tested. When system problem is identified according to customer's complaint, perform diagnostic test indicated.
