Power Door Lock Test 27B - Remote Keyless Entry Problem

NOTE: Perform POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 27A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE: After repairing Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system, transmitters may have to be reprogrammed. See KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM - REMOTE article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section.

Connect jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 5 (Gray/Black wire) on RKE module harness connector. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector "A". BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure in CHIME TEST 2A. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal No. 37 (Gray/Black wire) on connector "A". If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open Gray/Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace RKE module.
