Windshield Wiper Test 5A - Wipers Not Working In Intermittent Mode

NOTE: Perform WINDSHIELD WIPER TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition on. Move wiper switch through all 6 intermittent positions. If wipers were inoperative in all positions, go to next step. If wipers were only inoperative in some switch positions, replace multifunction switch.
  2. Using scan tool, monitor intermittent wiper voltage at each position of wiper switch. If voltage changes each time a different position is chosen, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure in CHIME TEST 2A. If voltage does not change, replace multifunction switch.
