Test 104D - On/Off (Intermittent) Wiper Motor Relay & Control Circuit

NOTE: Perform TEST 104A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring schematics, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  in this article. Perform TEST VER-1 - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
  1. Remove jumper wire. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage at terminal "A" (Dark Blue wire) on socket. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to TEST 104F  . If voltage is 10 volts or greater, go to next step.
  2. Connect ON/OFF (intermittent) wiper relay. Access Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located behind right kick panel. With BCM connectors connected, backprobe a jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 1 (Dark Green/Yellow wire) on BCM bone connector. If wiper motor operates, replace BCM. If wiper motor does not operate, go to next step.
  3. Leave jumper wire connected. Remove intermittent wiper relay. Using an external ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground terminal "C" (Dark Green/Yellow wire) on intermittent relay socket. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace intermittent wiper relay. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open Dark Green/Yellow wire.
