VTSS Test 7A - VTSS Indicator Light Driver Circuit

NOTE: Perform VTSS TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition on. Once BCM has completed light check, determine if VTSS indicator light is on. If light is illuminated, go to VTSS TEST 7B  . If light is not illuminated, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector "A". BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure . Connect jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 16 (Black/Orange wire) on connector "A". If VTSS indicator light illuminates, replace BCM. If light does not illuminate, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect information center harness connector. Inspect circuit board. Replace as needed. Remove VTSS indicator light bulb. Replace bulb as needed. Go to next step.
  4. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage at terminal No. 12 (Pink wire) on information center connector. If voltage is more than 10 volts, repair open Black/Orange wire between information center and BCM. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Pink wire.
