Power Door Lock Test 23B - Remote Keyless Entry Problem

NOTE: Perform POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 23A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE: After repairing Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system, transmitters may have to be reprogrammed. See KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM article.

Connect jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 5 (Gray/Black wire) on RKE module harness connector. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector "A". BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure . Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal No. 37 (Gray/Black wire) on connector "A". If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open Gray/Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace RKE module.
