Windshield Wiper Test 3A - Wipers Not Working In Intermittent Mode

NOTE: Perform WINDSHIELD WIPER TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. If problem is wipers parking in wrong position, go to WINDSHIELD WIPER TEST 3B  . If problem is not wipers parking in wrong position, go to next step.
  2. Gain access to wiper motor connector. Turn wipers on to low speed. Using an external voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and wiper motor switch terminal No. 2 (Dark Green/Yellow wire). If voltage does not cycle between zero and 12 volts, go to WINDSHIELD WIPER TEST 3B  . If voltage cycles between zero and 12 volts, go to next step.
  3. Locate Central Timer Module (CTM). CTM is located behind right kick panel. Using an external voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and backprobe of CTM 14-pin Green connector "A" terminal No. 11 (Dark Green/Yellow wire). Wipers should be operating at low speed. If voltage does not cycle between zero and 12 volts, repair open Dark Green/Yellow wire between CTM and wiper relay or park switch. If voltage cycles between zero and 10 volts, replace CTM.
