Interior Light Test 1A - Identifying Interior Light System Malfunctions
NOTE:
Perform SYSTEM ID TEST 1A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - BODY VERIFICATION TEST
.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Using scan tool, select BODY, then BODY COMPUTER. Verify communication with Body Control Module (BCM). If scan tool displays NO RESPONSE, see VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS . If scan tool does not display NO RESPONSE, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, select READ DTCS. If scan tool displays HEADLAMP SWITCH INPUT FAILURE, go to INTERIOR LIGHT TEST 2A . If HEADLAMP SWITCH INPUT FAILURE DTC is not displayed, identify problem(s) listed in INTERIOR LIGHT DIAGNOSTIC TEST DIRECTORY table and perform indicated test(s).
