Interior Light Test 2A - Courtesy Light Output Short To Battery

NOTE: Perform INTERIOR LIGHT TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - BODY VERIFICATION TEST  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.

Disconnect driver's door courtesy light. Disconnect junction block fuse No. 19. Junction block is located behind left end cap of instrument panel. See Figure in CHIME TEST 2A. Using external voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow wire) on courtesy light harness connector. If voltage is 10 volts or less, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is mounted to junction block. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, repair Yellow wire for short to battery voltage.
