Wiper Speed Sensitive Inoperative

NOTE: Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS after each repair.

Raise and support vehicle. Turn wipers on to lowest intermittent position. Record time of interval between wipes. Spin rear wheels to more than 15 MPH. If interval between wipes decreases, system is currently functioning properly. If interval between wipes does not decrease, leave vehicle raised and supported, and go to next step.
Spin rear wheels to more than 15 MPH. Using scan tool, select WIPER SYSTEM MONITOR. If vehicle speed signal on scan tool matches speedometer, replace CTM. If vehicle speed signal on scan tool does not match speedometer, go to SPEEDOMETER GAUGE NOT OPERATING PROPERLY test under INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.
