Glide Feature Does Not Slide Forward
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Chrysler LHS and 2000 Chrysler 300M. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Seat does not move forward when ignition switch is turned on or seat belt is extended after glide feature was activated on last exit.
NOTE:
This procedure was written for the DRB-III scan tool. Generic scan tool may work, but have limited functionality.
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) located under left side of instrument panel, to left of steering column. Verify that glide feature is enabled. Enable glide feature if necessary. Go to next step.
- Turn ignition on and then off. Remove ignition key. If seat glides rearward, reinsert key into ignition switch and turn ignition on. If seat does not glide forward, go to next step. If problem persists after resetting guard bands, replace Memory Heated Seat and Mirror Module (MHSMM). See MEMORY HEATED SEAT & MIRROR MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If seat does glide forward, system is okay at this time.
- Use scan tool to reset guard bands. After resetting guard bands, go to step 2 .
