Alarm Trips On Its Own
Possible Causes:
- Invalid input to CTM.
- Intermittent condition.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off before disconnecting or connecting any control module connector. Failure to do so could result in damage to control module.
NOTE:
Ensure vehicle being tested has a fully charged battery. If it does not, false symptoms may occur.

Testing:
- Turn ignition off. Connect DRBIII(R) to DLC. Using the DRBIII(R), read LAST VTSS CAUSED. Are any causes displayed? If yes, perform appropriate test indicated by DRBIII(R). See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS and SYMPTOM IDENTIFICATION . If no, the condition that caused this symptom is not present at this time. Visually inspect related wiring harnesses for any chafed, pierced, pinched or partially broken wires. Perform VEHICLE THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST under VERIFICATION TESTS.
