Tank, Fuel: Installation

Install the fuel pump module if it was previously removed. Refer to MODULE, FUEL PUMP, INSTALLATION .

Position the fuel tank on a suitable stand to be raised into the vehicle. Tighten the fuel tank strap bolts (2) to 35 N.m (26 ft. lbs.).

Install the fuel filler connector tube (5) onto the fuel tank (3).

Install the muffler (2) and resonator (3). Refer to MUFFLER, EXHAUST, INSTALLATION .
Lower the vehicle.

Attach the three fuel lines to the fuel pump (1, 2 and 3).

Connect the fuel pump module electrical connector (4).
Install the access cover (1). Tighten screws (2).

Install the molded carpet. Align the prop slots (1) and seat catches (2) into position.
Fill tank with fuel and install fuel fill cap.
Connect the battery negative cable.
Run vehicle. Inspect for leaks.
