Fast Idle Speed
- Start and run engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. Disconnect wiring harness from fast idle solenoid. Apply battery voltage to solenoid to activate it. Rev engine momentarily to set solenoid plunger. Fast idle speed should be 850-900 RPM.
- Adjust fast idle speed if necessary by turning solenoid plunger. Rev engine and recheck fast idle speed. Readjust if necessary. Remove battery voltage from solenoid and reconnect harness. See Fig 1 .
