Using VOM

  1. Turn ignition off. Locate Data Link Connector (DLC). See Figure . Connect jumper wire between TBS and GND terminals at DLC. Connect analog voltmeter between FBS and GND terminals at DLC.
  2. Turn ignition on. Codes will be indicated by long and short VOM needle sweeps. Total number of long sweeps indicates the first digit of the code. Total number of short sweeps indicates the second digit of the code. For example, long-long-short-short indicates Code 22.
