Wiper Switch Test

NOTE: Windshield wiper switch is an integral part of multi-function switch and cannot be serviced separately. Wiper switch may also be referred to as multi-function switch.

Disconnect wiper switch connector located under steering column. Check continuity or resistance, as appropriate, between specified terminals. See WIPER SWITCH TEST TABLE. See Fig 1 . Replace wiper switch if readings are not as specified.

Wash Off 1 & 4 47,600 Ohms
Wash On 4 & 6 Continuity
Wiper Off 4 & 6 103,300 Ohms
MAX Delay 1 & 4 11,330 Ohms
MIN Delay 4 & 6 3,300-103,300 Ohms
Wiper LO 4 & 6 3,300 Ohms
Wiper LO 1 & 4 4,080 Ohms
Wiper HI 4 & 6 3,300 Ohms
Wiper HI 1 & 4 Continuity
