Restraints Control Module (RCM): Removal

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
- Remove 4 scrivets, pull out to release retaining clips and remove utility compartment. See Figure . On large RCM connector, pinch thumb tab and pivot connector position assurance lever away from RCM, disengaging the lever. See Figure . On small RCM connector, push down on retaining tab and disconnect connector. Remove RCM mounting bolts and RCM.
