Front Suspension: Description
Front suspension is a modified MacPherson strut design. The design uses a damper, with coil spring located between lower control arm and a spring pocket in crossmember. Gas-pressurized hydraulic shock struts and a front stabilizer bar are used. See Fig 1.
Shock struts are non-serviceable and must be replaced as an assembly. Installation of new front strut assemblies and/or springs in pairs is not required by manufacturer. Install front suspension assemblies and/or springs one at a time as required. Ball joints and control arm pivot bushings may be replaced individually.
