Symptom Chart

SYMPTOM CHART

Condition Possible Sources Action
No communication with the generic electronic module (GEM)
  • Central junction box (CJB) fuse 27 (10A).
  • Circuitry.
  • GEM.
REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULE .
The interior lamps are inoperative
  • Circuitry.
  • Dome/cargo lamp.
  • GEM.
Go To PINPOINT TEST A  .
The interior lamps stay on continuously-do not fade out
  • Circuit.
  • Map/dome lamp switch.
  • GEM.
Go To PINPOINT TEST A  .
The interior lamps do not turn on with one door open
  • Circuit.
  • Door/liftgate ajar switch.
  • GEM.
Go To PINPOINT TEST C  .
The illuminated entry is inoperative when using the remote transmitter
  • Remote transmitter.
  • GEM.
Go To PINPOINT TEST D  .
The demand lighting is inoperative
  • Circuitry.
  • Dome/map lamp.
  • GEM.
Go To PINPOINT TEST E  .
An individual interior lamp is inoperative
  • Power supply.
  • Ground.
  • Bulb.
REPAIR as necessary.
An individual demand lamp is inoperative
  • Power supply.
  • Ground.
  • Bulb.
REPAIR as necessary.
Battery voltage out of range
  • Circuitry.
  • GEM.
  • Charging system.
Go To PINPOINT TEST F  .
