Cool Box Control Motor Test

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2017 Honda Odyssey, 2016 Honda Odyssey, 2015 Honda Odyssey, 2014 Honda Odyssey, and 2013 Honda Odyssey. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect the 7P connector from the cool box control motor.
NOTE: Incorrectly applying power and ground to the cool box control motor will damage it. Follow the instructions carefully.
  2. Connect battery power to terminal No. 7 of the cool box control motor, and ground either terminal No. 1 or terminal No. 3. The motor should run smoothly to the open position (terminal No. 1 connected to ground), or the shut position (terminal No. 3 connected to ground). Disconnect battery power immediately when the motor stops running.

    • If the linkage and door move smoothly, replace the cool box control motor (see COOL BOX CONTROL MOTOR REPLACEMENT  ).
    • If the linkage or door sticks or binds, repair them as needed.
