DTC U3000-51: CAN Gateway Programming Error

General Description

The CAN gateway has a reprogramming function. The CAN gateway could not operate normally if the reprogramming is failed. If the CAN gateway reprogramming fails, a malfunction is detected and a DTC is stored.

Monitor Execution, Sequence, Duration, DTC Type, OBD Status 

Execution Immediately after the vehicle is turned to ON mode
Sequence None
Duration -
DTC Type One drive cycle, MIL on or off (CAN gateway does not output MIL on/off request)
OBD Status N/A

Enable Conditions 

Condition Minimum Maximum
12 volt battery voltage [BATTERY] 8 V -
Vehicle ON mode

Malfunction Threshold 

The CAN gateway reprogramming is failed.

Possible Cause 

NOTE:  The causes shown may not be a complete list of all potential problems, and it is possible that there may be other causes.

Diagnosis Details 

Conditions For Setting The DTC 

When a malfunction is detected, a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the CAN gateway memory.

Conditions For Clearing The DTC 

The Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command.
