MICU Input Test

NOTE:

1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

2. Disconnect under-dash fuse/relay box connectors D, E, P, and R

NOTE: All connector views are shown from the wire side of the female terminals.

3. Inspect the connectors and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact:

4. With the connectors still disconnected, do the following input tests:

Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if desired result

is not obtained

R9 BLU Disconnect the gauge control module connector A (32P) Check for continuity between terminal R9 and gauge control module connector A (32P) terminal No. 31:

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the B-CAN wire
  • Faulty center junction box
  • Faulty driver's junction box
R10 PNK Check for continuity between terminal R10 and gauge control module connector A (32P) terminal No. 30:

There should be continuity.

R9 BLU Disconnect climate control unit connector A (32P) Check for continuity between terminal R9 and climate control

unit connector A (32P) terminal No. 30:

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the B-CAN wire
  • Faulty center junction box
R10 PNK Check for continuity between terminal R10 and climate control unit connector A (32P) terminal No. 32:

There should be continuity.

R9 BLU Disconnect the power window master switch 37P connector Check for continuity between terminal R9 and power window master switch 37P connector terminal No. 30:

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the B-CAN wire
  • Faulty center junction box
R10 PNK Check for continuity between terminal R10 and power window master switch 37P connector terminal No. 28:

There should be continuity.

R9 BLU Disconnect the automatic lighting control unit/sensor 7P connector *1 Check for continuity between terminal R9 and automatic lighting control unit/sensor 7P connector terminal No. 7:

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the B-CAN wire
  • Faulty center junction box
  • Faulty driver's junction box
R10 PNK Check for continuity between terminal R10 and automatic lighting control unit/sensor 7P connector terminal No. 6:

There should be continuity.

R9 BLU Disconnect the automatic lighting/rain sensor 5P connector *2 Check for continuity between terminal R9 and automatic lighting/rain sensor 5P connector terminal No. 3

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the B-CAN wire
  • Faulty center junction box
  • Faulty driver's junction box
R10 PNK Check for continuity between terminal R10 and automatic lighting/rain sensor 5P connector terminal No. 4:

There should be continuity.

R9 BLU Disconnect the auto high-beam control unit 6P connector *3 Check for continuity between terminal R9 and auto high-beam control unit 6P connector terminal No. 3:

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the B-CAN wire
  • Faulty center junction box
  • Faulty driver's junction box
R10 PNK Check for continuity between terminal R10 and auto high-beam control unit 6P connector terminal No. 2:

There should be continuity.

R9 BLU Disconnect the parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector *4 Check for continuity between terminal R9 and parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector terminal No. 10:

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the B-CAN wire
  • Faulty center junction box
  • Faulty driver's junction box
R10 PNK Check for continuity between terminal R10 and parking and back-up sensor control unit 24P connector terminal No. 22:

There should be continuity.

R9 BLU Disconnect the wireless charger 7P connector *5 Check for continuity between terminal R9 and wireless charger 7P connector terminal No. 2:

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the B-CAN wire
  • Faulty center junction box
R10 PNK Check for continuity between terminal R10 and wireless charger 7P connector terminal No. 3:

There should be continuity.

R9 BLU Disconnect the power seat control unit connector B (20P) *6 Check for continuity between terminal R9 and power seat control unit connector B (20P) terminal No. 17:

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the B-CAN wire
  • Faulty center junction box
  • Faulty driver's junction box
R10 PNK Check for continuity between terminal R10 and power seat control unit connector B (20P) terminal No. 16:

There should be continuity.

R9 BLU Disconnect the keyless access control unit connector B (28P) Check for continuity between terminal R9 and keyless access control unit connector B (28P) terminal No. 7:

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the B-CAN wire
  • Faulty center junction box
  • Faulty driver's junction box
R10 PNK Check for continuity between terminal R10 and keyless access control unit connector B (28P) terminal No. 6:

There should be continuity.

R9 BLU Disconnect audio unit connector A (24P) *7 Check for continuity between terminal R9 and audio unit connector A (24P) terminal No. 2:

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the B-CAN wire
  • Faulty center junction box
R10 PNK Check for continuity between terminal R10 and audio unit connector A (24P) terminal No. 4:

There should be continuity.

R9 BLU Disconnect audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) *8 Check for continuity between terminal R9 and audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) terminal No. 2:

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the B-CAN wire
  • Faulty center junction box
R10 PNK Check for continuity between terminal R10 and audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) terminal No. 4:

There should be continuity.

R9 BLU Disconnect audio unit connector A (24P) *9 Check for continuity between terminal R9 and audio unit connector A (24P) terminal No. 2:

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the B-CAN wire
  • Faulty center junction box
R10 PNK Check for continuity between terminal R10 and audio unit connector A (24P) terminal No. 4:

There should be continuity.

R9 BLU Disconnect audio unit connector B (20P) *10 Check for continuity between terminal R9 and audio unit connector B (20P) terminal No. 3:

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the B-CAN wire
  • Faulty center junction box
R10 PNK Check for continuity between terminal R10 and audio unit connector B (20P) terminal No. 13:

There should be continuity.

R9 BLU Disconnect audio-navigation unit connector B (20P) *11 Check for continuity between terminal R9 and audio-navigation unit connector B (20P) terminal No. 3:

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the B-CAN wire
  • Faulty center junction box
R10 PNK Check for continuity between terminal R10 and audio-navigation unit connector B (20P) terminal No. 13:

There should be continuity.

R12 LT BLU Under all conditions Check for continuity between terminal R12 and data link connector (DLC) terminal No. 7:

There should be continuity.

  • An open or high resistance in the K LINE wire
  • Faulty center junction box

*1: Without automatic wiper

*2: With automatic wiper

*3: With auto high-beam system

*4: With parking and back-up sensor

*5: With wireless charger

*6: With DPMS

*7:'14-15Without navigation

*8:'14-15With navigation

*9:'17Without display audio

*10:'17Without navigation with display audio

*11:'17With navigation system

5. Reconnect the connectors to the under-dash fuse/relay box, and do the following input tests:

Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if desired result

E23 WHT Under all conditions Measure the voltage to ground:

There should be battery voltage.

  • Blown No. A21 (10 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box
  • Faulty under-hood fuse/relay box
  • An open or high resistance in the wire
E6 * BLK In all power modes Measure the voltage to ground:

There should be less than 0.2 V.

  • Poor ground (G401)
  • An open or high resistance in the ground wire
D3 * BLK In all power modes Measure the voltage to ground:

There should be less than 0.2 V.

  • Poor ground (G601)
  • An open or high resistance in the ground wire
D30 BLK In all power modes Measure the voltage to ground:

There should be less than 0.2 V.

  • Poor ground (G601)
  • An open or high resistance in the ground wire
P1 BLK In all power modes Measure the voltage to ground:

There should be less than 0.2 V.

  • Poor ground (G501)
  • An open or high resistance in the ground wire
