DTC 2612: Upper Display Diag (With Display Audio) (2017)
NOTE:
- First, check the Vehicle 12 volt battery condition .
- This audio DTC sets when Connection NG is indicated in the Upper Display diagnosis (the Upper Display icon is red in the System Links).
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information - Refer to: How to Troubleshoot the Audio System (With Display Audio) (2017) .
- Problem verification
-1. Clear the hard error codes.
- 2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode then the ON mode.
- 3. Check for hard error codes.
Is DTC 2612 indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.
NO: DTC is not indicated
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Open wire check (+B AUDIO line)
-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode Test point 1 Multi-information display unit connector A (12P) No. 6 - Refer to: Multi-Information Display Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Navigation, With Display Audio) (2017) Test point 2 Body ground Is there battery voltage?
YES
The +B AUDIO wire is OK. Go to step 3.
NO
Repair an open in the wire between the No. A22 (15 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box and the multi-information display unit.
- Open wire check (ACC line)
-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode Test point 1 Multi-information display unit connector A (12P) No. 5 - Refer to: Multi-Information Display Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Navigation, With Display Audio) (2017) Test point 2 Body ground Is there battery voltage?
YES
The ACC wire is OK. Go to step 4.
NO
Repair an open in the wire between the No. B37 (7.5A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box and the multi-information display unit.
- Open wire check (GND line)
-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode Test point 1 Multi-information display unit connector A (12P) No. 12 - Refer to: Multi-Information Display Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Navigation, With Display Audio) (2017) Test point 2 Body ground Is there less than 0.2 V?
YES
The GND wire is OK. Go to step 5.
NO
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the multi-information display unit and body ground (G505).
- Open wire check (GA BUS+ line, GA BUS? line)
-1. Disconnect the following connectors.
Multi-information display unit connector A (12P) Audio unit connector D (12P) - 2. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Multi-information display unit connector A (12P): disconnected Audio unit connector D (12P): disconnected Test point 1 Multi-information display unit connector A (12P) No. 1 - Refer to: Multi-Information Display Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Navigation, With Display Audio) (2017) Test point 2 Audio unit connector D (12P) No. 7 - Refer to: Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Navigation, With Display Audio) (2017) Test point 1 Multi-information display unit connector A (12P) No. 2 - Refer to: Multi-Information Display Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Navigation, With Display Audio) (2017) Test point 2 Audio unit connector D (12P) No. 1 - Refer to: Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Navigation, With Display Audio) (2017) Is there continuity?
YES
Replace the multi-information display unit .
NO
There is an open in the wire (s) between the multi-information display unit and the audio unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.
