Navigation System Symptom Troubleshooting - Multi-information Display Unit Stays On With The Vehicle In The OFF Mode (2014 2015)
NOTE:
- Check for aftermarket accessories that may interfere with the navigation system.
- The vehicle may have been used for a show event. Check for a short jumper harness in-line with audio-navigation unit connector A (24P). If a jumper harness is present, remove it, and return it to Tech Line.
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
- Problem verification
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
Does the navigation screen stay on?
YES
The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Shorted wire check (ACC line to power)
-1. Disconnect the following connector.
NOTE: Eject the disc before disconnecting the audio-navigation unit to prevent damaging the CD/DVD player's load mechanism.Audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) - Refer to: Audio-Navigation Unit Removal and Installation (2014 2015), or Audio-Navigation Unit Removal and Installation (With Display Audio) (2017) - 2. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Test circuit ACC Test point 1 Audio-navigation unit connector A (24P) No. 24 (PUR) Test point 2 Body ground Is there battery voltage?
YES
Repair a short to power in the wire between the No. B37 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box and the audio-navigation unit.
NO
Replace the audio-navigation unit - Refer to: Audio-Navigation Unit Removal and Installation (2014 2015), or Audio-Navigation Unit Removal and Installation (With Display Audio) (2017) .
