DTC P0369: CMP Sensor B Circuit Intermittent Interruption (2017)

DTC (PGM-FI)
- Problem verification (idling)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- 3. Enter the maintenance mode, then start the engine, then let it idle for 10 seconds.
- 4. Monitor the OBD STATUS for DTC P0369 in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.
DTC Description OBD STATUS P0369 CMP Sensor B Circuit Intermittent Interruption Does the HDS indicate FAILED?
YES
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 3.
NO
If the HDS indicates PASSED, go to step 2. If the HDS indicates NOT COMPLETED, keep idling until a result comes on.
- Problem verification (test-drive)
-1. Test-drive the vehicle for several minutes in the range of these recorded on-board snapshot parameters:
- ENGINE SPEED
- VEHICLE SPEED
On-board Snapshot
- 2. Monitor the OBD STATUS for DTC P0369 in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.
DTC Description OBD STATUS P0369 CMP Sensor B Circuit Intermittent Interruption Does the HDS indicate FAILED?
YES
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 3.
NO
If the HDS indicates PASSED, intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at CMP sensor B and the PCM. If the on-board snapshot of this DTC is recorded, try to reproduce the failure under the same conditions with the on-board snapshot - Refer to: How to Troubleshoot the Fuel and Emissions Systems (2017) . If the HDS indicates NOT COMPLETED, retest and check the OBD STATUS again.
- CMP sensor B circuit connectors and terminals condition check
-1. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at these locations:
- CMP sensor B
- PCM
- Engine ground
- Body ground
Are the connections and terminals OK?
YES
Go to step 4.
NO
Repair the connections or terminals.
- CMP pulse plate B visual check
-1. Check for damage to CMP pulse plate B.
Is the pulse plate damaged or loose?
YES
NO
Replace CMP sensor B , then recheck. If DTC P0369 is indicated again, replace the PCM - Refer to: PCM Removal and Installation (2017) .
