Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) Symptom Troubleshooting - LKAS switch does not work (2017)

LKAS switch does not work 

  1. Gauge control module operation check

    -1. Do the gauge control module self-diagnostic function.

    Is the multi-information display (MID) OK?

    YES 

    Go to step 2.

    NO 

    Replace the gauge control module .

  2. LKAS switch check 1

    -1. Check the parameter(s) below with the HDS pressing the MAIN switch and the LKAS switch of the LKAS switch.

    Signal Current conditions
    Values Unit
    MAIN switch    
    LKAS switch    

    Does it indicate ON when the appropriate switch is pressed, and OFF when the appropriate switch is released?

    YES 

    Go to step 3.

    NO 

    Any of the indicators turned ON and OFF, replace the LKAS switch .

    NO 

    No indicator turned ON and OFF, go to step 4.

  3. Body electrical DTCs check

    -1. Check for body electrical DTCs with the HDS.

    DTC Description DTC
       

    Are any DTCs indicated?

    YES 

    Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.

    NO 

    Check other related systems (PGM-FI system, VSA system, and EPS system).

  4. LKAS switch check 2

    -1. Test the LKAS switch.

    Is the switch OK?

    YES 

    Check for poor connections or loose terminals between the gauge control module and the LKAS switch. If OK, replace the gauge control module .

    NO 

    Replace the LKAS switch .
