DTC 2703: Aircon Diag (Display Audio) (2016-17)

NOTE: 

• Check the vehicle battery condition first .
• This audio DTC sets when Connection NG is indicated in the Aircon diagnosis (the A/C icon is red in the System Links).
• Check for B-CAN DTCs and resolve them before troubleshooting.
• Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information - Refer to: How to Troubleshoot the Audio System, or Audio System Self-Diagnostic Function (Without Navigation, Without Touch Screen), or Audio System Self-Diagnostic Function (Without Navigation, With Touch Screen), or How to Troubleshoot the Audio System (Display Audio) (2016-17) .

1. Problem verification

   -1. Clear the hard error codes.

   - 2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode then the ON mode.

   - 3. Check for hard error codes.

   Is DTC 2703 indicated?

   YES 

   The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.

   NO 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

2. Open wire check (B-CAN_H, B-CAN_L lines)

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

   - 2. Disconnect the following connectors.

   Audio unit connector B (20P)

   Climate control unit 32P connector

   - 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

   Test condition	Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
   	Climate control unit 32P connector: disconnected
   	Audio unit connector B (20P): disconnected
   Test circuit 1

   Test point 2	Climate control unit 32P connector No. 30 - Refer to: Climate Control Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (2013 2014), or Climate Control Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (2015 2016)

   Test circuit 2
   Test point 1	Audio unit connector B (20P) No. 13 - Refer to: Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Touch Screen) (2013), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (With Touch Screen) (2013), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Touch Screen) (2014), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (With Touch Screen) (2014), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (With Touch Screen) (2015), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Touch Screen) (2015), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Display Audio) (2016-17), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Normal Audio) (2016-17)
   Test point 2	Climate control unit 32P connector No. 32 - Refer to: Climate Control Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (2013 2014), or Climate Control Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (2015 2016)

   Is there continuity?

   YES 

   The B CAN-H wire and the B CAN-L wires are OK. Go to step 3.

   NO 

   Repair an open in the wire (s) between the audio unit and the climate control unit.

3. Climate control unit check (substitution)

   -1. Substitute a known-good climate control unit.

   - 2. Reconnect all the connectors.

   - 3. Clear the hard error codes.

   - 4. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode then the ON mode.

   - 5. Check for hard error codes.

   Is DTC 2703 indicated?

   YES 

   Replace the audio unit - Refer to: Audio Unit Removal and Installation (Without Touch Screen), or Audio Unit Removal and Installation (With Touch Screen), or Audio Unit Removal and Installation (Display Audio) (2016-17) .

   NO 

   Replace the original climate control unit .
