DTC 2707: Mic Diag (Display Audio) (2016-17)
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first .
- This navigation DTC sets when a problem is detected in the microphone circuit (the Mic icon is red in the System Link).
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information - Refer to: How to Troubleshoot the Audio System, or Audio System Self-Diagnostic Function (Without Navigation, Without Touch Screen), or Audio System Self-Diagnostic Function (Without Navigation, With Touch Screen), or How to Troubleshoot the Audio System (Display Audio) (2016-17) .
- Check the connectors for poor connections loose terminal.
- Problem verification
-1. Clear the hard error codes.
- 2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode then the ON mode.
- 3. Check for hard error codes.
Is DTC 2707 indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Determine possible failure area (MIC PWR line, others)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
Front HFL-ANC/active sound control microphone 8P connector - 3. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
- 4. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode Front HFL-ANC/active sound control microphone 8P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Front HFL-ANC/active sound control microphone 8P connector No. 4 - Refer to: ANC/Active Sound Control Microphone Connector for Inputs and Outputs, or ANC/Active Sound Control Microphone Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Display Audio) (2016-17) Test point 2 Body ground Is there about 8.0 V?
YES
The MIC PWR wire is OK. Go to step 5. Refer to: 5
NO
Go to step 3.
- Open wire check (MIC PWR line)
-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle ON mode Front HFL-ANC/active sound control microphone 8P connector: disconnected Test point 1 Audio unit connector J (28P) No. 25 - Refer to: Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Touch Screen) (2013), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (With Touch Screen) (2013), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Touch Screen) (2014), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (With Touch Screen) (2014), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (With Touch Screen) (2015), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Touch Screen) (2015), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Display Audio) (2016-17), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Normal Audio) (2016-17) Test point 2 Body ground Is there about 8.0 V?
YES
Repair an open in the wire between the front HFL-ANC/active sound control microphone and the audio unit.
NO
The MIC PWR wire is not open. Go to step 4.
- Shorted wire check (MIC PWR line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
Audio unit connector J (28P) - 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode Front HFL-ANC/active sound control microphone 8P connector: disconnected Audio unit connector J (28P): disconnected Test point 1 Audio unit connector J (28P) No. 25 - Refer to: Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Touch Screen) (2013), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (With Touch Screen) (2013), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Touch Screen) (2014), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (With Touch Screen) (2014), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (With Touch Screen) (2015), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Without Touch Screen) (2015), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Display Audio) (2016-17), or Audio Unit Connector for Inputs and Outputs (Normal Audio) (2016-17) Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Repair a short to body ground in the wire between the front HFL-ANC/active sound control microphone and the audio unit.
NO
Replace the audio unit - Refer to: Audio Unit Removal and Installation (Without Touch Screen), or Audio Unit Removal and Installation (With Touch Screen), or Audio Unit Removal and Installation (Display Audio) (2016-17) .
- Determine possible failure area (Front HFL-ANC/active sound control microphone, others)
-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

YES
Replace the front HFL-ANC/active sound control microphone .
NO
Go to step 6.
- Determine possible failure area (MIC+ line, others)
-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

YES
The MIC+ wire is OK. Go to step 9. Refer to: 9
NO
Go to step 7.
- Open wire check (MIC+ line)
-1. Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

YES
There is an open in the wire (s) between the front HFL-ANC/active sound control microphone 8P connector and the audio unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.
NO
The MIC+ wire is not open. Go to step 8.
- Shorted wire check (MIC+ line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
- 2. Disconnect the following connector.
Audio unit connector J (28P) - 3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

YES
There is a short to body ground in the wire between the front HFL-ANC/active sound control microphone and the audio unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.
NO
The MIC+ wire is not shorted to ground. Go to step 9.
- Open wire check (MIC- line)
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

YES
The MIC- wire is not open. Go to step 10.
NO
There is an open in the wire (s) between the front HFL-ANC/active sound control microphone and the audio unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.
- Shorted wire check (MIC+ line to MIC- line, SH_MIC line)
-1. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Is there continuity?
YES
There is a short in the wires between the front HFL-navigation-ANC/active sound control microphone and the audio unit. Replace the affected shielded harness.
NO
Replace the audio unit - Refer to: Audio Unit Removal and Installation (Without Touch Screen), or Audio Unit Removal and Installation (With Touch Screen), or Audio Unit Removal and Installation (Display Audio) (2016-17) .
