Error code: Check Antenna is displayed
NOTE:
- Check the vehicle battery condition first .
- Check XM radio reception in an open area. Poor reception/interference can be caused by tall buildings, mountains, or high-voltage power lines.
- Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals.
- 1. Problem verification:
- 1. Park the vehicle outside with a clear view of the southern horizon.
- 2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- 3. Turn on the audio system, and press the CD/XM button to select the XM radio.
Is Check Antenna displayed?
YES
The failure is duplicated, go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- 2. Determine possible failure area (XM antenna, others):
- 1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- 2. Substitute a known-good XM antenna - Refer to: XM Antenna Removal and Installation (Except K24Z7) , XM Antenna Removal and Installation (Except K24Z7 except Natural Gas models) , XM Antenna Removal and Installation (Natural Gas models) .
- 3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- 4. Turn on the audio system, and press the CD/XM button to select the XM radio.
Is Check Antenna displayed?
YES
Go to step 3.
NO
Replace the original XM antenna.
- 3. XM receiver check:
- 1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- 2. Substitute a known-good XM antenna lead, and recheck.
Does the symptom/indication go away?
YES
Replace the original XM antenna lead.
NO
Replace the XM receiver - Refer to: XM Receiver Removal and Installation (Natural Gas models) , XM Receiver Removal and Installation (Except Natural Gas models) .
