DTC P062F: ECM Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error (K24Z7)
NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot, and review the general troubleshooting information - Refer to: How to Troubleshoot the Fuel and Emissions Systems (K24Z7) , How to Troubleshoot the Fuel and Emissions Systems (R18Z1) , How to Troubleshoot the A/T System (A/T) , How to Troubleshoot the Fuel and Emissions Systems (R18A9) , How to Troubleshoot the CVT System (CVT) ('14-'15) .
- 1. Problem verification:
- 1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- 3. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC P062F indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated. Update the ECM - Refer to: ECM/PCM Update if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good ECM - Refer to: ECM Removal and Installation (K24Z7) , ECM/PCM Removal and Installation (Except K24Z7 and R18Z1 (CVT)) , then do the repair verification.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Repair verification:
- 1. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC P062F indicated?
YES
If the ECM was updated, substitute a known-good ECM - Refer to: ECM/PCM Update , then recheck. If the ECM was substituted, go to step 1.
NO
Troubleshooting is complete. If the ECM was substituted, replace the original ECM - Refer to: ECM Removal and Installation (K24Z7) , ECM/PCM Removal and Installation (Except K24Z7 and R18Z1 (CVT)) . If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
