DTC 32-01: EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (Current Sensor), DTC 32-02: EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (Current Sensor Offset), DTC 34-01: Power Relay, DTC 34-05: Power Relay Stuck OFF, DTC 35-01: EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (CPU), DTC 35-02: EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (EEPROM1), DTC 35-04: EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (CPU Communication), DTC 35-05: EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (A/D Conversion), DTC 35-07: EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (INHL/INHR Ports) (Initial Diagnosis/Regular Diagnosis), DTC 36-02: EPS Control Unit Internal Circuit (INH Output Circuit)
- 1. Problem verification:
- 1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- 2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- 3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- 4. Start the engine.
- 5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 32-01, 32-02, 34-01, 34-05, 35-01, 35-02, 35-04, 35-05, 35-07, or 36-02 indicated?
YES
The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If another DTC is indicated, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.
- 2. EPS control unit check (update):
- 1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), then turn it to ON (II) again.
- 2. Update the EPS control unit - Refer to: EPS Control Unit Removal and Installation , EPS Control Unit Update if it does not have the latest software.
- 3. Start the engine.
- 4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 32-01, 32-02, 34-01, 34-05, 35-01, 35-02, 35-04, 35-05, 35-07, or 36-02 indicated?
YES
Replace the EPS control unit - Refer to: EPS Control Unit Removal and Installation ,EPS Control Unit Update .
NO
Troubleshooting is complete.
