OPEN/CLOSE function of the display does not work

  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  2. Disconnect the navigation display unit connector B (10P) and audio disc changer connector A (18P).
  3. Check for continuity between navigation display unit connector B (10P) terminal No. 10 and body ground.

    Is there continuity? 

    YES  -Repair short in the wire between navigation display unit connector B (10P) terminal No. 10 and audio disc changer connector A (18P) terminal No. 4. ■

    NO  -Go to step 4.

  4. Substitute a known-good navigation display unit (see NAVIGATION DISPLAY UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ), and check to see if the display opens and closes normally.

    Does the display work normally? 

    YES  -Replace the navigation display unit (see NAVIGATION DISPLAY UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ). ■

    NO  -Replace the audio disc changer (see AUDIO DISC CHANGER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ). ■
