Park Pin Switch Test

- Remove the shift lever assembly (see Shift Lever Removal ).
- Disconnect A/T gear position indicator panel light harness / park pin switch / D3 switch connector.
- Shift into P, and check for continuity between A/T gear position indicator panel light harness / park pin switch / D3 switch connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be no continuity.
- Shift out of the P position, and check for continuity between connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be continuity.
- If the park pin switch tests OK, connect the connector and install the shift lever assembly (see Shift Lever Installation ). If the park pin switch fails the test, replace the park pin switch (see Park Pin Switch Replacement ).
