Description & Operation

The multi-remote control system controls operation of the following systems: power windows, power door locks, trunk lid release, panic alarm and hazard warning lights. The multi-remote control system is inactive if key is in the ignition switch. System can receive signals from the remote controller only when ignition switch is in the OFF position (key removed). Signal received from remote controller is sent via data lines A and B to the Body Control Module (BCM) and Local Control Units (LCUs) to activate the requested action. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS .
