Testing For Open In Data Line

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) harness connectors. Disconnect all Local Control Units (LCUs) harness connectors. Check for continuity in data line between appropriate terminals at LCU harness connector and BCM harness connector. See DATA LINE RESISTANCE CHECK table. See Figure -6. If continuity exists, check data lines for shorts. See TESTING FOR SHORT IN DATA LINES. If continuity does not exist, repair open in appropriate data line as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
