DTC Confirmation

Depending on equipment available, use one of the following to set DTC:

• Using MIL, set parking brake. Raise and support vehicle drive wheels. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Turn ignition off and wait at least 5 seconds. Start engine and wait at least 70 seconds. Using DVOM connected to ground, backprobe PCM terminal No. 62 (Green/Black wire). With engine idling, record reading on DVOM.

Maintain the following conditions for 1 minute; A/C on, steering wheel fully turned in one direction, headlights on, rear window defogger on, about 3000 RPM and vehicle in any forward drive gear. Ensure DVOM reading stays .1 volt less than recorded value. If reading does not remain .1 volt less than recorded value, DTC will be set.
