Self-Diagnostics Using Indicator Lights: Notes
NOTE:
Ensure interior dome light and all step lights are operating before performing on-board self-diagnostics using indicator lights. During diagnostic code retrieval, any step light that does not illuminate indicates a fault exists in the LCU circuit.
There are five different diagnostic modes for performing on-board diagnostics of the multiplex control system. During on-board diagnostic modes I, II, III and IV, interior dome light and step lights will flash simultaneously in response to self-diagnostic results or faults detected. See Fig 1 . Mode V self-diagnostic results are displayed using power seat memory 1 and memory 2 button indicator lights. See Fig 2 . Select appropriate diagnostic mode for desired system testing. See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC MODES table.

|---|---|
| Mode I | LAN Communications Check |
| Mode II | Switch Input/Output Monitoring |
| Mode III | Power Door Locks Self-Diagnosis |
| Mode IV | Power Window Operation |
| Mode V | Automatic Drive Positioner Self-Diagnosis |
