Using Nissan CONSULT Scan Tool

  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect Nissan CONSULT scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Touch START, IVMS, then AUTO DRIVE POSITIONER on scan tool display.
  2. Touch SELF-DIAG RESULTS, then START on scan tool display. Seats and steering column automatically move and self-diagnostics will start. Within 15 seconds after seat and steering column movement stops, drive vehicle at a speed greater than 4 MPH to perform self-diagnostics of Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS).
  3. After completing self-diagnostics, diagnostic results will be displayed on scan tool. If system is okay, testing is complete. If a self-diagnostic message is displayed, perform corresponding diagnostic procedure(s). See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC DIRECTORY  table.
